ec-works offers eddy current surface testing as a flexible and modern tool to inspect a wide variety of equipment and systems in different industrial branches as for example the detection of chloride induced stress corrosion cracks in austenitic piping systems, reactors or columns.
How it works
These inspections could be performed even during running processes on high temperate surfaces of up to 200°C (and higher). Regularly there is no need to remove coatings or dirt accumulation. Only the isolation has to be dissembled and areas with noticeably rough deposits need to be cleaned (e.g. water-ice-blasted). Turbine- or compressor blades have also been inspected successfully with our eddy current inspection technology as well as welds at railways cages, cranes or piping-systems. Other tasks for eddy current technology include austenitic wavy compensator systems at power plants and process industries or the inner and outer inspection of high-pressure piping in ethylene plants.
Ask our experts to discuss your surface crack tasks. Based on their long time experience they will find sensitive, practical and cost-effective eddy current applications to inspect your systems successfully.
What makes ec-works special?
We are able to adapt existing inspection technologies and approaches to new applications. We have a patent for the crack and corrosion inspection of large valves (up to DN 500mm). We are open for new challenges like the inspection of high temperature “weldolet” components or the inspection of carbon tubes or blocks.
